I had my 2004 Ford F-450 engine (6.0) bullet proofed at Buds Diesel. After about 700 miles around local driving just to make sure everything was good to go. I took my 14,000 lb RV fifth wheel to Alabama with not one problem or any issues. With all the hills and stop and go traffic we hit. Would I recommend Buds Diesel YES I WOULD. The mechanics really know there stuff. The front office called with updates asking would I like to upgrade parts. They are honest and upfront with you. They stay in business because of honesty and performance & Perfection. Josh that I dealt with was very professional. When I need service I will definitely be going to Buds Diesel.

Customer service is unsatisfactory. I spent a little over 12k for new heads (truck had fuel in coolant) and their bullet proof package for my 2004 Ford 6.0. Driving up to Big Bear truck had hardly any power, felt like turbo was not building boost. I have been calling them weekly for over a month asking when I can bring it in and keep getting told “try again next week, we are too busy”. I drove to the shop 2 weeks ago hoping to drop off the truck to get it looked at and was given the same answer “we are too busy and we have customers that already paid”. Last I checked I paid over $12,000 so that would make me a customer that already paid too. I have less than 300 miles on the truck since they did the work. Very regretful for going to Buds diesel, should have gone to Ford like I usually do. June 18, 2026 So after declining the $3,500+ you wanted to drop the tank, change filters, and clean fuel system, I took it to Ford…which is what I have always done and should have done. They are still diagnosing it but it’s not a bad fuel issue, something electrical due to loose connectors. Sounds like sloppy work on your mechanics part. Buds Diesel is hands-down the best diesel shop in Orange County! After a catastrophic fuel pump failure on my Chevy Silverado, I had it towed out of Simpson Chevy (who wanted nearly double the price for a lesser repair) and brought it to Buds. Best decision ever. These guys completely replaced my fuel system and got my truck running like new. Mark at the counter was an absolute class act—honest, knowledgeable, and genuinely understanding of the situation. The whole team clearly knows their stuff; their expertise and attention to detail put the dealership to shame. I’ll definitely be back—maybe for a mod chip next time! If you own a diesel truck in OC and want the job done right, Buds Diesel is the place to go. (Only regret? Not snagging some of that Buds Diesel swag at the front desk—they’ve made a lifelong fan out of me!)

I typically do my own work on my vehicles. Only thing is I don’t have those fancy snap on scan tools that can reset sensors. Mark was on the phone with me, thorough and straight forward. Told me to bring the truck in. Was really quick turn around time, and definitely was a pleasure with how friendly they are towards clients and customers. They reset the check engine light and let me be on my way less than 20 minutes. Anyone who wants their diesels worked on. This shop is a place you can trust that they are efficient and proven to show integrity and offer great service. Thank you to the technicians that helped and Mark for making this experience really pleasurable. Any concerns or issues for my truck, I will definitely come back.

Extremely Clean Shop, Great Personal Working Here, Staff Friendly & Helpful, Took Care Of My Problem With My Truck. Runs Great, Owner Went The Extra Mile Gave Me A Ride To My Hotel, And Picked Me Up The Next Morning, To Get My Truck. Made A New Friend & I Would Recommend Them To Anyone With The Vehicle Needs.
